Professor Jane Ohlmeyer, School of Histories and Humanities, was part of a group of Irish delegates at Hornbill Festival 2025, India, where she highlighted the shared cultural, historical and political parallels between Ireland and Nagaland. Professor Martin Worthington, School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies, features in media items about the debut of the world's first film in ancient Sumerian. 'Dumuzi's Dream and Dumuzi's Demons' is a dramatisation of a mythological poem preserved on 4,000-year-old cuneiform clay tablets excavated in modern-day Iraq. The film was directed and produced by Professor Worthington and involved Trinity staff and students.

School of English, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and TCD disAbility Service. Poet and author Christy Nolan, who died in 2009, has been posthumously awarded a degree from Trinity College Dublin. The writer, who had quadriplegic cerebral palsy, attended TCD as a student of English for one year. TCD said the award is being made in celebration of the fact that despite immense physical barriers, in that year he found a community in Trinity that recognised his potential and his voice. The Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies, School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies, is mentioned in an article on the visit of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska to Trinity College Dublin. The Department offers a range of Ukrainian courses and ran a series of public lectures on Ukrainian history and culture in recent years.
