Professor Sharyn O’Halloran has been appointed Chair of Political Economy, a joint position bridging Economics and Political Science. Supported by the HEA’s Senior Academic Leadership Initiative, her role strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration and academic leadership within the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy. Her appointment marks an exciting step toward expanding research capacity and enriching teaching across both disciplines.
