Ece Sevgi Sole

Ece Sevgi-Sole holds an MA in ForeignProfile Picture of Dr Ece Sevgi Sole Language Education and a Ph.D. in Language Assessment from Yeditepe University, Istanbul. She has over twenty years of experience in teaching English, academic coordination, syllabus design at tertiary level, as well as development and moderation of online learning platforms.


She is actively involved in cross-border research collaborations and publications. Her research interests include L2 writing instruction and assessment, teachers’ language assessment literacy, collaborative learning, online communities of practice (CoPs), the integration of AI into educational practices and policies, and sustainability in education.


Having spent a decade of her academic life in Istanbul, Turkey, and another in Milan, Italy, Ece currently serves as a Research Fellow at the School of Linguistic, Speech, and Communication Sciences (SLSCS) and as Deputy Director of the Centre for English Language Learning and Teaching (CELLT) at Trinity College Dublin.
