The Irish Tatler Woman of the Year Awards, which have been running for 24 years, aims to recognise outstanding achievements by Irish women across a broad range of categories as well as recognising advances in equality, opportunity and progress. Yemi was recognised in the "Public Life" category not only for her achievements as Ireland's first Black woman to be elected into public office but also her wider work in driving inclusive policymaking and advocacy.

These achievements were recognised alongside her significant body of work in broadcasting and her expertise in the areas of business, innovation and entrepreneurship which she has harnessed to found an innovative social enterprise, Sheroes Global, which has mentored over 22,000 individuals worldwide through leadership and confidence building programmes. In 2024, she co-hosted the landmark Audacity Conference, celebrating Black women’s leadership. 

This is Yemi's 6th Award in 2 months as she has also received: 

  1. the GLOBAL WOMAN LEADERSHIP and trailblazer AWARD by Global Women on the World Stage, (New York), 
  2. the Clevenard Media Award for Leadership in Politics, Diversity & Inclusive Community Development (Spain), 
  3. the Global BlackStar TrailBlazer Award by BlackStars Experience (New York), 
  4. the Community Builder Award by WIN Inspo, (Ireland), 
  5. the Leadership and advocacy Award by Pan African Women Empowerment Network (PAWEN), (Nigeria)
