THE DEPARTMENT OF FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION, RESEACH, INNOVATION AND SCIENCE 

Would like to advise of an opportunity for a fully funded PhD in Law, Economics, History and Civilisation, or Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Florence Italy. 

The application period opens 1 November and closes 15 January with the course commencing 1 September 2026.

This PhD programme is funded by DFHERIS and includes a stipend, health insurance, and a travel allowance. Up to three incoming students will be supported for 2026/2027 academic year.
