Eight compete in Trinity’s Three-Minute Thesis competition final

Eight speakers competed in the final event, which requires researchers to present their research, armed with just one slide, in a manner that makes sense to a non-specialist audience, and within a fixed time limit of three minutes.

Green Week '24 - 'Healthy Planet, Healthy People'

This has been Trinity’s 22nd year marking Green Week. The event started in 2003 to honour the late Professor Simon Perry, who started the College Recycling and Environment Committee, now known as the Green Campus Committee. After his untimely passing in 2002, the Green Campus Committee decided to hold the first Trinity Green Week in his honour, and the College’s Green Week has grown in strength every year since.

Mary Harney becomes first female president of Trinity’s Hist

Mary Harney, who served as the student debating society’s first ever female auditor as an economics student at Trinity in 1976-1977, succeeds Professor David McConnell who has been the Hist president since 2002.
