Biography
|
Anna is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Finance. Her research interests broadly include the psychology behind sustainable investing, the financing of Urban Nature Plans and Nature-Based Enterprises, and the overall intersectionality between nature and business.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, she achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Business Studies and French at Trinity College Dublin. Her capstone project, written entirely through French, analysed the environmental and internationalisation strategies of a French multinational in the construction industry, some of which has led to the beginnings of her research interests now. She achieved a First Class Honours every year in her degree, including on her Erasmus year in France. She was also awarded an Entrance Exhibition Award at the beginning of her time at Trinity.
Upon graduation, she secured a managerial position at an international company where she worked in the Marketing department, before spending the last few months travelling parts of Europe, India and America.
Aside from her studies, she has a keen interest in music. She is a classically trained pianist and has loved playing solo and orchestral performances for most of her life. She is also a fluent Irish speaker and has worked in Irish translation and teaching for many years.
After growing up on a farm, she developed a passion for nature and the great outdoors from a young age. This passion is her main inspiration behind contributing to research on the role of finance and business in the Global Green Transition. |
