Biography
Laqiqige Zhu is a PhD candidate at Trinity Business School, focusing on Sustainable Finance. She is part of the FOREST project, an interdisciplinary research initiative at Trinity College Dublin that brings together academics and PhD students from Business, Botany, Engineering, and Geography to examine the case of forestry in Ireland using multiple lenses across disciplines. Her specific focus is on the monetary valuation of forest ecosystem services and explores financial incentives for increasing afforestation.
Laqiqige is also a professional sustainable finance consultant. She assists financial institutions with their sustainability reporting and compliance, covering standards such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Taxonomy, and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
Laqiqige holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, and Bachelor of Management from Beihang University.
